Starting the week of April 6 and continuing through early June, roadwork on Cedar Lane (CR 659) will affect traffic flow in our area and may impact traffic and transportation schedules.
Contractors for the NJ Turnpike Authority will be completing important roadway improvements, including widening the curve, installing guardrails, and paving. During this time, only one lane will be open, which will likely cause delays to and from our schools.
What This Means for Our Schools:
Due to detours and increased traffic, bus pick-up and drop-off times may be delayed. FHS students/families coming from town will need to use another route and leave earlier to avoid traffic delays. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to transport all students safely.
Detour Highlights (toward Route 130):
• Traffic will be redirected from the Cedar Lane roundabout onto Railroad Avenue
• Continue to Delaware Avenue (CR 656)
• Follow Delaware Avenue to Route 130
• Access to the NJ Turnpike (Interchange 6A) will be via southbound Route 130
Important Notes:
• Cedar Lane will be one-way only in certain areas during construction
• Police officers will be on site to help manage traffic
• Expect delays, especially during peak morning and afternoon travel times
Please plan ahead and allow extra time for bus stops and commuting.
Thank you for your cooperation as these important safety improvements are completed!
