Welcome to a brand-new school year! Florence Township School District is excited to launch the F.L.A.S.H. Volunteer Program (Florence Leaders Actively Serving Hometown). This exciting new initiative connects caring adults with our students and schools.

Our district is small, but we provide big opportunities for our kids. We believe that educating children is a total community effort. By inviting parents, grandparents, retirees, alumni, and local businesses into our buildings, we can build a strong network of support. This program is incredibly important because it guides our students toward long-term success. Whether you volunteer once a week or once a month, your time makes a lasting impact. If you can’t volunteer, but you know a neighbor, relative, or friend who can, please forward this information along.

We have many flexible options that match your skills. F.L.A.S.H. volunteers can serve as reading buddies, math mentors, classroom helpers, or event volunteers. You can also share your unique career experiences or serve as a student mentor.

Please join us for a volunteer information session at the Riverfront School to learn more. We are hosting two sessions for your convenience:

• Thursday, September 17, 2026 at 6:30 PM

All volunteers must complete a background check and orientation before working with students. Our shared goal is simple: Our Community. Our Schools. Our Kids.
