Last year, the FTMHS PO started a new tradition celebrating our seniors on the date of their graduation year — and it was a wonderful success, thanks entirely to the dedicated committee of parent volunteers who made it happen.

We'd love to bring this tradition back for the Class of 2027, and we're looking for volunteers to join this year's committee!

A small committee of senior parents, supported by the Parent Organization, sets up a series of small celebrations throughout senior year — recognizing this special year with a smile and a small gift or treat on every school day that falls on the 27th of the month.

Based on the Board of Education's approved calendar, this year's dates are:

1-2 parent volunteers set up a table in the school lobby as students arrive. A sign reads something like "Happy 27th Day! SENIORS stop here," maybe with some music and balloons/decorations. Seniors check in, grab their gift or treat, get some well wishes, and head to homeroom.

This effort is funded by the FTMHS Parent Organization with an $800 budget for the committee to use as they see fit. The commitee will meet and discuss the gifts and arrange assembly, as well as schedule who will be at the table. The committee will coordinate with the school for lobby setup and a class roster ahead of each date.
