Today, the extraordinary members of Florence Township Fire District #1 climbed the bleachers at FTMHS to honor the 343 firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001.
In recognition of the 25th anniversary, our firefighters climbed the equivalent of 110 stories — the height of the World Trade Center — in memory of the brave men and women who lost their lives that day.
We are grateful for their service, sacrifice and unwavering commitment to honoring those who came before them. #weremember

The first day of school is Thursday, September 3rd. Both Thursday, September 3rd & Friday, September 4th are Early Dismissal Days:
FTMHS -- 7:40 am to 11:40 am
Riverfront -- 7:55 am to 12:05 pm
Roebling Elementary -- 8:20 am to 12:30 pm
Preschool -- 8:50 am to 12:30 pm
EMP/EDP begins on Friday, September 4th. Monday, September 7th, we are closed for Labor Day. We start back up with a Full Day on Tuesday, September 8th.
Yesterday we welcomed the Freshman Class of 2030 and today we welcomed the Kindergarten Class of 2039! School Year 26/27 is off to a great start!

Fall sports is just around the corner! No better way to cheer on our FHS teams, then to follow the sports schedule! Check out the new online app for ALL FHS sports schedules! Download Arbiter from the app store on your phone or goto www.florence.k12.nj.us and click on Athletics. Once on the app, you simply type in our school -either Florence Township Memorial HS or Riverfront Middle School and you can see all sports schedules for the season. College Essay Prep in Action!
Our incoming high school seniors are getting a head start on the college application process this summer thanks to Mrs. Dewitt, who has been helping students brainstorm, write, and refine their personal essays so they can put their best foot forward when application season arrives.
We’re proud of our seniors for investing in their future and taking advantage of this great opportunity! 💙💛⚡️
Incoming Freshmen are invited to visit FTMHS on August 25th! Student leaders will offer their advice and support, and students will enjoy a fun game of kickball. Tours of the building will also take place so our students will know where to find their lockers, classes, and other key locations in the building. Please ask your children to take a picture of their schedule (via the Genesis Parent Portal) or have them bring a copy of it with them to the orientation on the 25th.
Our new 9th graders will gather in the Auditorium to form their groups. Students with last names starting from A to G will sit on the left side of the Auditorium, those with the last names starting from H to P will sit in the center section, and students with the last names from R to Z will sit on the right side. A student council officer will go over the logistics for the program, and then the students will move to their designated locations--Atrium, Auditorium, or Touring the School.
From 2 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., parents/guardians are welcome to meet with Mr. Cogan, Principal of Florence, in the Auditorium for a brief overview.
