We welcome you & your child(ren) to Florence Twp. School District! As part of the
registration process you will need certain key documents. It is strongly recommended
that you read our registration process carefully and have these documents ready
as you begin the process to help make your registration go as smoothly as possible!

Registration Sign-upThe totality of information and documentation you offer will be considered in evaluating an application, and, unless expressly required by law, the student will not be denied enrollment based on your inability to provide certain form(s) of documentation where other acceptable evidence is presented.
Please be aware that any initial determination of the student’s eligibility to attend school in this district is subject to more thorough review and subsequent re-evaluation, and that tuition may be assessed in the event that an initially admitted student is later found ineligible. If your student is found ineligible, now or later, you will be provided the reasons for our decision and instructions on how to appeal.

Registration Forms
The following may be used as proof of eligibility for enrollment in the district:
PreK - 12th Grade
- Property tax bills, deeds, contracts of sale, leases, mortgages, signed letters from landlords and other evidence of property ownership, tenancy or residency
- Voter registrations, licenses, permits, financial account information, utility bills, delivery receipts, and other evidence of personal attachment to a particular location
- Court orders, State agency agreements, placements or directives
- Receipts, bills, cancelled checks and other evidence of expenditures demonstrating personal attachment to a particular location or showing support of the student
- Medical reports, social worker assessments, employment documents showing family or economic hardship or temporary residency
- Affidavits, certificates or sworn statements pertaining to statutory criteria for school attendance
- Documents pertaining to military status and assignment
- Any record by a government agency
How do I register my student?
- STEP 1: Review the following detailed list of all information needed.
- STEP 2: Collect and prepare necessary documents - some documents must be notarized so please read information carefully.
- STEP 3: Once the paperwork is gathered, you can register by choosing ONE of the options below:

Documents you will need to register:
Residency in Florence Township (Burlington County)
Proof of Residence – any of the following documents will be accepted:
- Current property tax statement
- Signed Lease
- Residents who have made settlement within the last 6 months may use their signed settlement sheet or deed in lieu of a current tax bill. If you are not the property owner or leaseholder, our notarized Affidavit of Residency Form will be accepted along with a signed lease or property tax statement. - Verification of Residence
- Homeowner Certification - To be completed by the Florence Township School District homeowner when the child and his parent/legal guardian are residing in that homeowner’s home in Florence Township without a written lease and without paying rent and the homeowner resides at a separate address.
- Homeowner/Host Certification - To be completed by the Florence Township homeowner/host when the child and their parent/legal guardian are residing with that homeowner/host in Florence Township without a written lease and without paying rent.
- Landlord Certification - To be completed by the landlord when the child and his parent/legal guardian are residing in a dwelling managed by that landlord in the Florence Township School District without a written lease.
- Affidavit form / Affidavit Letter- Complete this section if the student is living with a person domiciled in the district, other than the parent or guardian
Once you have all of the required documents ready – you can proceed with the registration process.
Other Registration Resources that may be helpful:
New Jersey law, N.J.S.A. 18A:38-1 and N.J.A.C. 6A:22 requires that a free public education be provided to any student between the ages of 5 and 20 who is:
- Living with a parent or guardian whose permanent home is located within the district or who is temporarily living in the district.
- Living with a person, other than a parent or guardian, who resides in the district and who is supporting the student without compensation, as if the student were his or her own child because the parent cannot support the child due to family or economic hardship.
- Living with a person, other than a parent or guardian, who resides in the district and who is supporting the student without compensation, as if the student were his or her own child because the parent cannot support the child due to family or economic hardship.
- The child of a parent or guardian who is homeless
- Placed in the district by court order
- Is the child of a parent or guardian who resided in the district prior to being called to active military duty in time of war or national emergency
- Residing on federal property within the district.
